GROWHOUSE is all about nurturing excellence in learners.

Creativity, Critical Thinking and Mindfulness are vital in developing one into his or her full potential. This is also a growing need within education and career pursuits all over the world, which require ‘global citizens’.

Our story starts with Jannie Tam, the Founder of the company and a veteran in media and content industry. She was the former General Manager of Dymocks in Hong Kong, and before that she had built regional coverage for some major household content brands including Walt Disney for Disney Channels, Disney Consumer Product Licensing, Time Warner for Cartoon Network and Warner Home Video, and Yahoo! in Asia. Jannie believes that literacy can change lives. She recognized the need for a literary hub which combines an inviting, stimulating range of books, with classes that teach critical reading to build up learners’ cultural capital and help them find their personal identity.

Partnering with London Gifted and Talented, GROWHOUSE offers a suite of uniquely holistic yet effective programmes using specially selected books and videos. Our programme is taught in classrooms within a relaxed book store environment to stimulate proactive exploration.

“Among all the programmes that LGT produced over the last decade, the GROWHOUSE English Literacy Programme is the one that I am most proud of”
– Ian Warwick, Founder and Senior Director

GROWHOUSE also works closely with authors and thought leaders to make a journey of literary learning interesting, engaging and with long-lasting effects.
